About Us

Kenneth Perkins Funeral Home About Us Group

Ken Perkins has owned and operated the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral in Gorham since 1974. His wife, Robin, helps with many aspects of funerals. Funeral Director, David Ames, joined us in 2019.

Ken, Robin and David take pride in responding with compassion to families in their time of need. They listen to families and respond with personalized services.

We also assist families who wish to Pre-plan or Pre-arrange their future funerals. Contact us if you’d like us to help you with these services.

David started his cemetery monument business, Ames Monuments at Perkins in 2020. He can assist families who want to purchase a monument for their loved one, and can engrave “final dates” on existing monuments.

Suzie Greeter Cat Kenneth J Perkins Funeral Home 1 23 2022

Suzie

The “Greeter Cat”

Suzie has been greeting families on the side porch of the funeral home for over 10 years. She lives behind the funeral home in our horse barn, but seems to know when she needs to come to the porch to greet and offer comfort to people.

Henri and Margee Poodle Dogs Kenneth J Perkins Funeral Home 2

Henri and Margee

The “Watchers”

Henri and Margee are our Standard Poodles. Henri is “red” and Margee is “chocolate”. Look for them in the left 2nd floor window above the side porch. Sometimes people think they aren’t real, because they stand so still, side by side, watching the parking lot.
